Задача
урока: Совершенствовать речевые навыки
учащихся (монологическая, диалогическая
речь), создавая ситуативное поле для
общения по заданной теме. Формировать
умение извлекать нужную информацию в
просмотренном материале и рассказывать
на английском языке. Развивать логическое
мышление, языковую догадку, умение
анализировать и обобщать. Развивать
потребность в новых знаниях и применение
их в реальной жизни. Учить работать в
команде.
Оборудование:
компьютер с презентацией, видеоролик.
Ход
урока: Организационный момент.

Приветствие.
Good
morning, students. Today I am going to speak about inventions. You
know, there are a lot of them, we use every day and take them for
granted. For example, the invention of matches, such powerful machine
as fridge, ball point pen, computers and etc. All these things were
created by very famous and gifted persons. Who are they, students,
and why did they make such discoveries for the world generally?

дают названия известных изобретений,
кратко описывают само открытие и автора,
высказывают своё мнение, почему люди
создавали изобретения.) Example,
I want to say about the great invention of telescope. Such discovery
was made by the scientist from Italy Galileo Galiley. His device gave
the possibility to see the sky creations - stars, planets, etc-
closer. It happened in 1609. I think, the society of that time
needed more knowledge about the space which was great mystery field
for people during a lot of centuries and of course to investigate it.

Mihail
Lomonosov
(
1711 – 1765 )
is
a scientist and outstanding figure in 18 century of Russia who became
the founder of Moscow University. He was a son of prosperous
fisherman in a village Denisovka that not far from Archangelsk. The
dangerous life of fisherman taught him to observe natural phenomena
more closely. He studied grammar and arithmetic by himself. He was
chosen by the St. Petersburg Academy to study the sciences and
philosophy in Germany. In 1741 he received lifetime appointment to
the Russian Academy of Sciences. To promote education Lomonosov wrote
“History of Russia”, “Russian Grammar”. Many of his ideas and
discoveries won recognition only in 19 century. He was the first to
discover the vegetable origin of coal . He died in 1765.

Students,
now we have unusual task, let’s separate. I want to see 2 groups of
students and offer them to be a designers. Now the task for the group
number 1. You see such outstanding instrument. Can you guess what is
it? It’s rather difficult, I see. But it’s very useful device.
Many years ago its appearing shook the world. Please, look
thoroughly, and try to name this invention and show how it could work
from your point of view.
После
исследовательской работы первой команды,
целью которой являлось назвать
изобретение, рассказать и показать
принцип работы, следует демонстрация
ответа на слайде. Затем включается в
работу вторая команда. Слайд 4,5.
So,
I ask group number 2 to listen your task. You see the modern
instrument for cleaning. Try to tell us about all advantages of this
invention. Everybody must understand the difference between its older
brother. Please.

I
am glad to hear your ideas, it was interesting. I am sure that you
have all reason to become a scientist and invent new devices to make
our world better. Thanks everybody and now we are starting to work
together. In a minute you will see short movie with famous song. You
can sing it, of course but don’t forget – after you must give the
name of a country which you see, think about inventions that there
were at that time and explain how did they change. The questions are
at the slide.

Вопрос с видеофайлом. Цель просмотра
- извлечь как можно больше информации
по следующим пунктам: какая страна
представлена, какими изобретениями
прославилась, как актуальны эти
изобретения сегодня и что изменилось.
Оценивать умение учащихся говорить по
теме на английском языке, применяя
знания по истории.

They
lived
many
years
ago
but
made
a
lot
of
inventions.
I
know it was well-developed country and people liked to have a bath,
especially men. They built rather big house for bathing with hot
water. The first bath house appeared in this country I believe. Now
we have modern bath house but people prefer to have a shower at home.
Roman person couldn’t afford it.
I
want to add. In Rome there were such roads that people couldn’t
cross of water. It happened after heavy rain for example, and then
Romans decided to throw big stones in water and everybody could get
to the other side. It looks like our crosswalk before the traffic
light. But today we paint white stripes on the road and cross it
safety.
At
last I should say Romans liked water and beauty very much. That’s
why they matched them in wonderful fountains. There were a lot
fountains in Rome. Today I like the great fountain in front of the
department –store. It was so splendid, but unfortunately it was
broken.
OK,
students, thank for your answers, let’s see what the history tells

As
you see, students, Roman people in ancient time were clever enough to
create such inventions. Of course they were very simple but could
help people. It’s the main.
Now
we have little competitions where everybody can get high mark if you
know the correct answer. Be attentively, you must reply quickly. So,
name the invention, time and the person who made it. Look at the
slide.

Well,
students, good work! Today we try to be designers and inventors. We
did a lot.You showed perfect knowledge about the theme that connected
with other subjects. You could analyze the ancient country and
compare it with modern society. But what things of our lesson
impressed you the most?
